Sales & Marketing & Operations
Location: Airplex Otahuhu Showroom / Factory / Warehouse – Auckland
Airplex is looking for an energetic, commercially minded Sales & Marketing professional to join our growing small-to-medium sized team.
This is a hands-on, varied role where you will play an integral part in driving growth across our Ute & 4x4 accessory range throughout New Zealand. If you enjoy being part of a tight-knit team, contributing ideas, and having real influence on business performance, this could be the role for you.
About the Role
You will be responsible for growing sales within the New Zealand market for the Airplex Ute & 4x4 product category, across both trade and retail channels nationwide.
- Drive trade and retail sales growth across NZ
- Manage marketing initiatives including social media and website content
- Assist with website upgrades and ongoing development
- Support the planning and organisation of trade events (Fieldays and 4x4 shows)
- Work closely with counter/desk sales and operations team (3–4 staff)
- Handle customer enquiries, troubleshooting, and complaint resolution
- Contribute to internal factory and operational systems and procedures
- Help set and manage sales budgets and marketing spend
- Support improvements across office, sales, stock and order processing systems
- Work alongside company directors as part of the management team
- Have input on product development
About You
- Experience in sales and marketing (automotive or 4x4 industry experience advantageous)
- Proactive, organised, and commercially aware
- Confident dealing with trade and retail customers
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Depending on your skills and interests, the role can evolve to include additional areas such as operations, freight, logistics, and compliance (including MPI processes).
